I traveled from Thiruvarur to Madurai by train. I took an early morning train from Thiruvarur to Trichy at 4:35 AM and got down at Trichy. Then I took another train from Trichy to Madurai at 7:15 AM and reached Madurai Junction at 9:30 AM. After that, I walked to Meenakshi Amman Temple. The first early morning train from Thiruvarur to Tiruchchirappalli runs daily from Monday to Sunday at 4:35 AM.

I took the Thiruvananthapuram Central InterCity SF Express from Tiruchchirappalli at 7:15 AM and reached Madurai Junction at 9:30 AM.
